Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
He is thin but not bony; though he looks slim, he's actually quite strong. I estimate his height to be 180cm or over (almost two metres of muscled build and damn proud of it, he is).

2. How old is he?
Outwardly, he is 25. If you were to count his previous lives, however, I would estimate around 150 years. ( Assuming he lived to an average of 20 for the past six lives and then adding 25 for his current life: 120 + 25 = 145. )

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He stands up tall and proud, showing off every inch of his height. And also so he can stare down just about everyone else around him.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He's fit - he's very fit. You have to be if you're in the Mafia.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
He's a killer, which means he moves with all the lethal grace and fluidity of a predator.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
Oh, he's VERY attractive. He knows he's attractive. He uses the fact that he's attractive to his advantage in some of his missions.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
He's pale-skinned with hardly any scars due to his way of fighting making him all but untouchable.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Dark, blue hair. Not a shocking blue, but a calm blue which matches one of his eyes. It has a silky feel and is quite long at the back with the shorter strands pinned into his trademark pineapple-like tuft (but don't call him a pineapple-head, whatever you do).

9. What colour are his eyes?
His right eye is crimson and usually shows the Chinese/Japanese character for 'six' instead of a pupil. The left eye is cobalt, or a lapis-lazuli blue.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
He can be seen 99.99% of the time wearing a smirk.

11. What are his chief tension centres?
He has none, really. He's very relaxed. Though if events are careening out of his control then...

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colours, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
He has a formal black suit or two for when he needs it. Otherwise his wardrobe consists of casual white T-shirts, a black leather jacket, matching gloves and tight leather pants, and a pair of boots which extend above the knee. And he may also have a kimono stashed away somewhere.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
He wears them because he likes them, and also as if they're fashionable; he certainly pulls off the look well. I would go so far as to say he wears them because he knows he looks sexy in them.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
He's content to wear the same thing 24/7. (The only time that changes is when he needs to take them off to shower.)

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?

He prefers briefs over boxers. How else does one fit into those tight leather pants?


Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
He has a slight lisp which softens his speech but it is far less noticeable since he has matured into an adult. Depending on who he is talking to, his voice can be sweet and cajoling or quiet and insidious.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He talks evenly and measuredly so that you can hear every word.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
As I said: he has a slight lisp. He also speaks politely to everyone and it is rare to hear him speak otherwise.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
He knows many, but in this current life he knows English, Japanese and Italian. All fluently.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Only when the situation demands it. What point is there in speaking Japanese to an Italian? If irritated enough he may revert back to his native Italian but he quickly catches his mistake if he does so.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He has little phrases which will delay his answer (e.g. "Oh?", "My, my...").

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He's very eloquent with his words - all the better to insult his enemies.


Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
He is intelligent in that he is cunning. He is one who likes to toy with and manipulate others.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
He is able to think on his feet but at times he needs time to think. Not very long usually, as delay often means death.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
He will look at the situation, work out the most advantageous solution for him and then work towards it. When it comes to illusions, he must be intuitive. But otherwise he is logical. And he is too realistic/cynical of the world to be idealistic, so all his methods are practical.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
Not much in the way of schooling. Perhaps in a past life, he had, but mostly he has had to fend for himself. His knowledge is all of torture and killing and how the world and humans work.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
He has seen enough of humans to be able to call them predictable and look down upon them. Things which pique his curiosity are people like Tsunayoshi Sawada, who despite being groomed for the position of a Mafia don, manages to govern through compassion rather than show of force as generations have before him. In other words, things which contradict his set-in-stone beliefs.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
He is more of an introvert, as he prefers to keep to himself and remain quiet, observing others rather than contributing.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
He projects a façade of calm and control so well that it is even hard to tell what he is feeling by staring at his eyes. When he has a goal he becomes focused and driven, but he is also patient. When he shows mirth, it is rarely true mirth - certainly not happiness born out of joy.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Mostly he demonstrates curiosity, and occasionally suspicion or wariness depending on the person/situation. He gives the impression of being relaxed, open, and borderline friendly without giving anything of himself away.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
He is more likely to act.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Flight. But not through cowardice. Merely self-preservation.

11. Describe the character's sense of humour. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humour? Bathroom humour? Pranks?
He has a morbid sense of humour, often making light of death and anything to do with killing or torture. His most light-hearted jokes are in the form of puns, as he likes playing with words.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
He has an unhealthy curiosity with seeing people dead, but apart from his morbid sense of humour there is nothing wrong with him.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
As a child he was a subject of human experiments conducted by the Mafia family he belonged to. It put in him a hatred for the world and the humans which reside in it.

His meeting with Tsunayoshi taught him there was some good to be found, and he delayed his plans to take over the world just to see how he would lead the Mafia.

14. What does he fear?
Having seen the horrors of Hell and experienced most human suffering, there is just about nothing he fears. Except powerlessness. He is afraid of returning to that state where he was unable to do anything to help himself.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
He would like to see the world in chaos, screaming, bloodied - it is a reflection of the turmoil of his life.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
He would not like anyone to know that he is sympathetic to those who are unable to do anything to save themselves like he was once unable to do (hence his reason for saving Chrome).


Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
He no longer has parents and he does not care to remember them.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
He has none. Or if he did, they are long dead.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
They are all dead. He hated them all.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Ken, Chikusa and Chrome are the only ones who would come close. Lancia is an unwilling member who had his own family murdered and so is not really a part of Mukuro's gang. He shows concern for the former three's well-being and safety, going so far as to agree to becoming the Guardian of Mist in order to ensure their protection from the Vendicare.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
He has no 'best friends' (at least none that he will admit to having).

[ He has made friends with one AU!Byakuran who has no knowledge of the parallel worlds and is a normal university student. ]

6. Does he have other close friends?
None. Just acquaintances.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
It isn't that he has trouble making friends, it's that he doesn't want to.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Neither. He considers self-empowerment more important.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Canon: Single

But in Formspring, he is married to Hibari Kyouya.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
If he were, Hibari would kill him.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
There is no-one else he likes. He may have a fondness for Tsunayoshi and Chrome but it is not a romantic interest.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
Someone who is as intelligent as he is - at least enough to have a verbal spar with.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
He has no children. Any he potentially does have he will make sure are as cunning as he is.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Many fear him, but they are not necessarily enemies. His one rival is Hibari Kyouya, who seeks to surpass him in strength.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
He is bisexual - he doesn't mind if it's a man or a woman he sleeps with. On the Kinsey scale he is a 3.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
To him it's a means of asserting dominance over another, but he will not engage in it unless someone is trying to seduce him and they are of interest to him.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
He likes to tease. Foreplay is very much his thing, and a chance for him to see how far he can push his partner before they lose control. He has a masochistic streak which means he likes his sex rough. While he prefers to be the one on top, he doesn't mind being on the bottom so long as his partner puts up a good fight for the top position.

I say he can be all of that, depending on the situation.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
He considers religion to be something which gives humans false hope. Ironically, the Cycle of Rebirth all but governs his life (and his deaths). Until he finds enlightenment, he is doomed to be reborn again and again. And yet he cannot seem to do so, as disgusting as he finds the world.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
He is ruthless. Murder is nothing to him. He has no morals or ethics, though strangely he does have a sense of propriety.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
He is indifferent and perhaps a little derisive of such beliefs. He thinks that humans can have their little petty beliefs to cling to - it will make it all the more satisfying when he can see their faith being crushed just before they die.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
Firstly, against the Mafia: it was because the Estraneo Family (his Family) performed inhumane experiments on himself and numerous other children that he developed a hatred for the world and mankind. He sees the Mafia as the source of all filth and thus believes that if he can cause them to crumble then everything will be cleansed in a pure, beautiful sea of blood.


Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
He has very little money of his own, besides what he gets as part of his job as Vongola's Guardian of Mist.

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
As a Vongola Guardian, he has a relatively high status. Before, he was one who had been exiled from the Mafia, and he was only offered the position due to his unusual skill with illusions which made him very suitable to be the Guardian of Mist. The only reason he accepted the offer was because he wanted to protect two of his comrades who escaped only because he sacrificed his own freedom.

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
He has a room designated to him in the Vongola Headquarters (an underground base situated beneath Namimori). However, he rarely uses it. For him it is merely a place to rest in-between missions. As such, it is kept neat and tidy, but is also surrounded by a thin layer of illusion so that none may easily intrude. He keeps a stash of rings taken from the victims of his killings hidden and booby-trapped.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
He has little money to begin with and he has even less interest in material wealth. That said, he does accept that money is necessary as an influence for some mafiosi and thus carefully saves whatever he earns/has stolen (and he also has to pay MM her wages).

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
He is a spy primarily, and an assassin. His boss, Tsunayoshi Sawada (the Vongola Decimo), frowns upon murder but sometimes it is unavoidable. Since his skill with illusions is unparalleled, he makes for a very good silent killer and rarely has to engage in a fight personally.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
Tsunayoshi Sawada's body. Topping Hibari when they have sex. How he spends his free time is a mystery to everyone except perhaps Chrome. Most of it, though, seems to be focused on making

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
He is not a picky eater, but he does dislike spicy foods. His favourite 'food' is chocolate or anything chocolate-related, like mud-cake. Though he doesn't like to be referred to as a Pineapple Head, he does not boycott the fruit. As for alcohol, he is rather partial to red wine.
