My, my. Such progress made in identifying our mystery attacker. Have Mafia standards really become so slack? Silly mafiosi. If any more of you used those little brains you have been gifted with you might actually be able to arrive at the solution. Take care not to have an aneurysm on my account.
I do so wonder who will be the next target. The culprit surely treads upon thin ice, remaining on university grounds surrounded by such capable mafiosi. If I were they, I would have long made my escape or else confessed. There are few places to hide here, but I can understand the fear of fingers pointing very well so it is little wonder they continue to run.
Kufufufu~ Now, if anyone is wondering what happened to the men following me, they decided to have a prolonged rest in the cafeteria kitchen's cold storage. Suspect me all you like, but do try to be more subtle.
[Notes to self:]
Were it not for my little apprentice's report for Xanxus, I don't believe the pieces would have come together. Genkishi I know is under orders from Byakuran to fake his injuries, to add fuel to the fire. Hibari Kyouya, the first victim, was sparring with his student, Suzuki Adelheid in the training hall before the arrival of the former's fiancé, Dino Cavallone. None saw the supposed attacker. Nor were traces of illusion or Mist flames detected. I have faith in Mammon's ability to sense these things as well as my own - the only conclusion that can be drawn is that one of the three in the first instance is responsible for the attack on the Vongola Cloud. Since I highly doubt it would be his fiancé (attack came from behind; the two were not sparring at the time of meeting), Suzuki Adelheid becomes the prime suspect. Was there any presence of ice at the time? Coldness? Damp? She has the distinct advantage of having command over ice - once melted, it leaves no trace.
Addendum: As they were sparring beforehand, any ice residue would have been ignored.
One would usually discount her being the culprit as she became the victim in the second (or 'third') incident. However, no-one has considered the culprit to differ in the two circumstances. To my knowledge, incidents that leave no trace are committed by those closest to the victim and it is not unheard of for the guilty to turn innocent by creating a third character. But I digress. In the second case, I believe Julie Katou to be the guilty party. I must trust neither Mammon nor my apprentice had a hand in this case (+ they have no motive). I have not seen the wound but I believe it would validate my theory that Julie, during their spar, was the cause of the injury. Knowing the depth of his infatuation, I am sure the shock of injuring one's greatest love must have been great enough to render him incoherent when questioned by Mammon and Fran, leading to the misunderstanding that the one responsible had struck again (remains hypothetical at this point; further questioning needed). His weapons and methods remain quite unknown to most which would account for the inability to identify what made the wound.
Issues/contradictions?:
First case - It is possible for Cavallone to injure his spouse but his weapon of choice is the whip. I have only his word he had just arrived in time to see Hibari Kyouya be injured. There is strong motive for the both of them to maintain silence over the incident but no motive for them to insinuate the presence of a third party assailant <- if that were the case, vengeance against an enemy Family might be sufficient motive (highly doubtful).
Second case - I have only my own experience to build this scenario, little more than fanciful tales, one could say. Only the two involved will be able to provide the truth yet I doubt either will be willing to speak to me. I have hinted at my suspicions; now I must see if the bait is taken.
(( tl;dr? If there is something flawed with Mukuro's reasoning, please point it out. @_@ I think that's all correct though... If it was tl;dr, SUZUKI ADELHEID - the ice reference is directed at you. ))
